A response to Pennisi - “How do gut microbiomes help herbivores”, a hint into next-generation biocon

Rethinking Ecology also invites Response Papers. These are short articles that complement a recently published paper (either in Rethinking Ecology or in other journals), by bringing a new idea/hypothesis or by presenting an opposing view/opinion. We recently published the following paper, which provides an example of what a Response Paper may be.
